Writing coaching with Carolyn

Seventh Heaven Writing Retreat near Zion National Park, Utah

Posted

Most writing fails for two reasons: lack of a narrative structure and lack of presence. When you understand the neuroscience behind the underpinnings of story, you can bring that approach to any form of writing — longform journalism, narrative nonfiction, memoir, personal essays or a novel.

To gain "presence" in your writing, you need to sharpen your observation skills, cultivating the skills that mindfulness practitioners use so you can write sparkling dialogue and description. To do that, in this busy world, you need to unplug, get away from the chaos and restore.

This writing retreat offers a chance to generate writing and to restore a keen, curious mind.

Facilitated by acclaimed writer, TEDx speaker and Creative Circle Media Solutions writing consultant Carolyn Dawn Flynn, along with art and creativity coach Linda April Flynn.
