WHAT DO WE DO?

Outsourcing

Creative Circle Media Consulting, North America’s leading
provider of newspaper training, consulting and redesigns, has expanded its outsourcing options for media firms and corporations.

“We’ve often handled the launch of new products and special
section production for our newspaper clients, but with newsrooms operating with such reduced resources, we’ve had more and more requests to take on tasks traditionally handled by our clients’ staffs,” says Bill Ostendorf, president of Creative Circle.

“We’ve put together a strong team of experienced designers, editors, illustrators, graphic artists, photographers and writers who can handle almost any assignment quickly and with a high level of professionalism,” says Ostendorf.

“We expect a typical project to involve editing and designing special sections, advertorial content or new products that our clients would otherwise be unable to handle or would have to handle on overtime.

“In some cases, we might also be able to provide a higher level of design and editing for a major, showcase project. Or we might create content as well as editing and production.

“We expect some clients launching new, niche web sites to reach out to us to populate their site with content before launch, something we’ve started doing for some of our software clients,” he said. “You can’t launch a new site empty but that has become a big barrier to starting new sites because it takes a lot of staff time.”

Ostendorf says none of the work will be farmed out overseas and that everyone working on Creative Circle’s projects is based in the U.S. and has extensive daily newspaper experience.

Outsourcing used to be rare for editorial content but Ostendorf believes temporary editorial services now makes sense.
