East Providence

Political platform statement

Why I am running for this office: When I began in 2012, our school district had no leadership in the Central Office, low employee morale, run-down falicities, and was losing extra-curricula activites due to bad decisions and poor budget management. I decided to run so that I could apply my business experience, both with finance and people management, to improve our situation for our children.

My professional career requires someone with a vision, and the ability to collaborate with others to bring that vision to life. Over the last 8 years, by working with the proper stakeholders, we have brought our schools to a point of financial responsibility, with respected employees, improved facilities, stronger curriculums, and a new, state-of-the-art high school being built, of which I have the honor of co-chairing its Building Committee.

I am running for re-election so that I may continue to apply my skills, working together with great people to further advance the educational experience for our children, thus advancing the overall experience for our entire community. The quality of our schools directly correlates to the quality of every other aspect of our city. We are now moving in the right direction, together. I humbly ask for your vote on November 3, 2020 to re-elect me to your East Providence School Committee At-Large seat.

I have represented my fellow residents with professionalism and dedication, and I will continue to do so. Our schools are the most important investment we make as taxpayers, as it shows a return for decaded to come. I have done my part to protect your investment thus far, providing a greater return than we had previously seen. I look foward to having your trust to continue.
