Tara Kee Thibaudeau

Warren

Political platform statement

Why I am running for this office: I work to get things done. I know the needs of our community. As lifelong residents of Warren, my husband and I have raised and educated 6 children in this district for 20 years and counting. Whether it be professionally, personally, or community based, I have stepped up and worked with others to fix, raise, gather, help, build, and dedicate hours to improving the Town of Warren.

I am a volunteer at St. Mary of the Bay serving on their finance council, religious ed. teacher and extraordinary minister. I have served as president of the Hugh Cole and KMS Parent Groups and vice chair of the Husky Boosters, raising funds, advocating for the students/athletes and volunteering whenever needed. My sisters and I organize and execute the largest 5k in town, Finish for a Guinness.

I have coordinated and built 3 playgrounds for Hugh Cole. I am a wrestling mom, as well as every other youth sports volunteer. I am a founding member of the Warren Athletic Hall of Fame and Youth Division coordinator for Warren's 250th Anniversary Parade. As a previous school committee member, I worked to correct inequities and improve academic, financial, and social well being by hiring new administration and listening to the town administrators, families, and staff of our district.

I have successfully done this job before. I am currently the Warren Parks & Rec. Director and work to expand what Warren has to offer. As a School Committee member, I will continue to use those experiences to set priorities, demand equity between district schools, improve policies, measure success of our administration, be a watch dog for financial oversight and advocate for trades based post graduate options.
